PARENT & CHILD CLASSES
For ages 6 months – 4
Parent and Child aquatics classes are basic skill classes where parents or guardians are taught how to safely work with their child in the water, including how to support and hold their child, how to positively encourage a child to participate in each activity, and various water safety tips. Parents or guardians will introduce skills to their children that build a foundation for learning to swim.
One parent or guardian must be in the water during the class, other parents and/or guardians are allowed to spectate from the side.
PRE-SWIM CLASSES
Levels 1 – 4
Pre-Swim classes that are part of the Lean to Swim program at Mylan Park. These classes are for toddlers ages 3 – 6 years. Children may have participated in a parent and child course previously but should still enter at Pre-Swim Level 1 if 3 years of age.
Children between the ages of 3.5 and 6 years old should enter Pre-Swim Level 1-3 depending on skill. Please make sure to register your child for the appropriate class based on the criteria below. Specific skill requirements are necessary to advance to the next level.
Please note that taking a course one time does not mean it was successfully completed. Most students will repeat courses to master the necessary required skills for the next level. No set amount of time is allotted to master specific skills, please be patient and remember that confidence and competency take time and repetition.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS
Private, Semi-Private, & Small Group Lessons
Private lessons are designed to help students who are having difficulty with specific skills in a group lesson or if they need a little more attention to move past a challenging skill.
In a private lesson, students will work one-on-one or two-on-one with a qualified instructor. Lessons are tailored to meet your individual needs, teach you how to swim, or refine your skills. Swimmers of all levels, ages, and abilities can sign up – it’s never too late to learn how to swim.
