Pickleball Kids Camp at Mylan Park

Give your kids a chance to learn the fastest growing sport in America this summer! Local pickleball pro and certified instructor Sarah Gnegy, in partnership with Mylan Park, is offering a youth camp designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a fun and energetic format. The camp will focus on using different techniques to help create good habits, while familiarizing kids with the rules. This will help equip them with the basic skills needed to continue enjoying the sport they can play for a lifetime!
Pickleball Kids Camp (Ages 7+)
July 15th – 19th | 9:30 am – 12:00 pm | The Sports Complex
Please provide your child with a daily snack and water bottle. Paddles and balls will be provided. Additional paddles will be available for purchase at camp.

League Description:
Welcome to the Wednesday Pickleball League at Mylan Park, hosted by our resident pickleball pro, Sarah Gnegy! Join us every Wednesday in April and May from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center. Get ready to experience the thrill of pickleball in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our league offers a great opportunity to meet fellow pickleball enthusiasts, build new friendships, and enjoy some healthy competition.
We will have 4 leagues running, two for beginners and two for intermediate players!
For just $60 per player, you’ll have the chance to showcase your pickleball game and sharpen your skills in over 20 competitive matches across four consecutive weeks. Sarah will coordinate the league, facilitate match play and answer any questions about rules to ensure that all participants can experience the game in a structured and sportsmanlike environment. Prizes will be offered for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division.
So grab your paddle, lace up your sneakers, and join us for action-packed evenings of pickleball! Whether you’re just starting or looking to step up your game, our Wednesday Pickleball League in March is the perfect way to challenge yourself, have fun, and be a part of a vibrant and supportive community.

Get ready for competitive evening Pickleball Shootouts at Mylan Park. These shootouts are designed for players looking to test their skills. Each pickleball shootout costs $80 per team. MUST HAVE A PARTNER TO PLAY!

New to the sport and just want to learn how to get started? Take advantage of one of three offered beginner clinics where Selkirk Pro and IPTPA Certified Instructor Sarah Gnegy will walk you through it. Get familiar with the rules, paddle strokes, non-volley zones, court positioning, and more!

Meet Sarah.
Sarah Gnegy, a Morgantown WV, resident, is a former collegiate volleyball and tennis player. She is a 5.0 sponsored Selkirk Pickleball Pro and is the only female 5.0 player in the state of WV.
Her pickleball career began over 7 years ago when she graduated from college and married her husband, Alan. She is a US OPEN 5.0 Gold Medal winner accompanied by many other podium appearances in various regional and high-level tournaments. Sarah is experienced in elite-level tournament play and is also an IPTPA Level II Certified pickleball instructor.
With the birth of her three beautiful children, she has now focused her
efforts on teaching and sharing her love for the game. Her goal is to
promote the sport of pickleball in our great state and she is passionate
about sharing her unique insights into the game with new players.
