USA Diving ‘American Cup’ coming to Morgantown Aquatics Center

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Another national diving event is coming to Morgantown in 2025, the latest in a string of high-profile diving events held at Mylan Park over the last two years.

According to a press release from the Visit Mountaineer Country Convention and Visitors Bureau (VMCCVB), the 2025 USA Diving American Cup will take place at the Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in June 2025.

The aquatic center in Mylan Park opened to the public in 2019 and became the venue for the 2022 USA Diving Winter National Championships just three years later. This year, it also hosted the USA Junior Diving Championship, bringing more than 600 athletes to the area.

“Our facility has proven to be a premier destination nationally for competitive diving events, and we are thrilled to host an event that will highlight the talents of incredible athletes and showcase our community and the facility on the international stage,” Peak Health Aquatic Center Director Jennifer Lainhart said.

Visit Mountaineer Country and the Peak Health Aquatic Center are also planning a bid for the 2028 U.S. Olympic diving team trials to be held in Morgantown, according to the release.
