Track & Field Programs at Mylan Park

Learn track and field skills in a welcoming and exciting environment at The Peak Health Track & Field Complex. Clinics are held in the spring and fall followed by a Youth Community Track Meet.

Learn about running, sprinting, jumping, throwing, relays, and endurance. Our track clinics will begin with stretching and conditioning exercises to develop proper techniques and avoid injuries.

Participants will engage in individual and team exercises to promote fitness and teamwork.

This program is for children 3-12 years of age.

TRACK & FIELD YOUTH CLINICS

Season: March 29 – May 17, 2026*

*No class on April 5, or April 26

Time: Sundays from 2:30pm- 3:30pm

Location: Peak Health Aquatic Center & Track Complex

AGES: 6-12

Learn track and field skills in a welcoming and exciting environment. The program teaches the fundamentals of Track & Field form, and techniques such as walking, sprinting, running, hurdling, hopping, jumping, pushing, and throwing. Participants will get a chance to try out sprints, relay racing, distance running, hurdles, and introduction to shotput, javelin and discus. Instructors will also introduce other events such as long jump, high jump and pole vault. No specialized training is available these are all introduced and taught to the level of the participants ability. This is a good program for young kids exploring track and field, or older kids wanting to join a Middle School or High School track program in the future.

Morgantown Pole Vault Club

at the Track Complex at Mylan Park

Whether you are new to pole vaulting or looking to pole vault higher, you have come to the right place. The newly formed Morgantown Pole Vault Club, founded by Morgantown’s own Jeffrey Core, specializes in training tri-state athletes and is committed and passionate about developing athletes of all levels in a safe and supportive environment. Subscribing to a defined systematic approach to coaching that is designed to take athletes of all levels to new heights, the Morgantown Pole Vault Club encourages an atmosphere of hard work, goal setting, and achievement that will carry through all areas of an athlete’s life.

The Morgantown Pole Vault Club offers group lessons and individualized training that will take your vault to the next level. Operating in the summer at the outdoor track complex at Mylan Park.

All athletes must register through USA Track and Field as an individual athlete. CLICK HERE to register.

To register for Pole Vault, create an account and/or login to user portal and go to “Register for Classes” search for Pole Vault
