Serving as the Aquatics Manager at Mylan Park Aquatic Center, Ms. Buiter is responsible for Lifeguards, training and risk management, summer camps and programs, American Red Cross training services programs, and facility maintenance of the pool and mechanical rooms.

After graduating from Valparaiso University with a degree in Sports Management, Ms. Buiter has previously worked with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as their aquatics graduate assistant while pursuing a Master of Education with the College Student Personnel Administration program. Ms. Buiters is also certified as a Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and a certified pool operator through the National Hot Tub & Spa Association. In her spare time, Ms. Buiter enjoys hiking, exploring new cities and towns, painting, and is an active member of several national organizations.
