Learn to Skate

Give your child the confidence to glide, move, and have fun on the ice with our Learn to Skate program at Hope Gas Ice Pavilion. Designed for children ages 5 and up, this program is perfect for beginners and those looking to build foundational skating skills in a supportive, high-energy environment with instructors certified by Learn to Skate USA and/or USA Hockey.

Whether your child dreams of playing hockey, figure skating, or simply enjoying time on the ice, our program is the first step toward a lifelong love of skating.

Location: Hope Gas Ice Pavilion

Programs Information:

  • Day of the Week: Sundays
  • Class time(s)-choose one:
    • 12:45PM – 1:10PM
    • 1:15PM – 1:40PM
  • Ages: 5+
  • Instructors are certified by Learn to Skate USA and/or USA Hockey.
  • Skates are included with learn to skate classes
  • Students receive one free Public Skating sessions each week during their lesson session to practice what they have learned (rental skates included).

Learn to Skate:

The foundation of Learn to Skate USA powered by Toyota is based in fun, safe and solid skill progression that provides all skaters the necessary tools to reach any goal they may set.

Learn to Skate USA Membership:

All participants enrolling in our LTS program must become a member of Learn to Skate USA. Membership cost is $20.00 per season (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026). Skaters can register themselves directly at Learn to Skate – CLICK HERE

Make-Ups/Refunds/Prorates:

  • There are no Make-Ups allowed
  • No refunds.
  • No pro-rates.
  • Classes may be combined at the discretion of management.
