Little Bodies in Balance
Little Bodies in Balance at Mylan Park is a movement-based program designed to help young children develop balance, coordination, and body awareness in a fun and supportive setting. Through age-appropriate activities, guided exercises, and playful exploration, participants build strength, confidence, and foundational movement skills. This program encourages healthy movement habits while supporting physical and social development in a welcoming community space.
Little Bodies in Balance” is a six-week program designed for children walking to 5 years old. Led by experienced occupational therapist Christel Pervola, this program focuses on fostering balance, body awareness, sensory-motor exploration, and social play opportunities.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Class Location: The Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center Sports Complex
- Ages: walking to 5 yrs old
- Coed
- Class Length: 60 min – 10am-11am
- Days of the Week: Classes are available once per week on Saturdays (times varies – see class options during registration)
- Instructor: Christel Pervola
- Times & classes are subject to change
- Spaces are limited – register at the front desk, online or over the phone.
- No spaces in any class are guaranteed without payment, as full payments are due at the time of registration. All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Minimum of three children per class. If fewer than three are signed up after the third week, you will be required to choose another time or a refund if the class is canceled.
- Join at any time – classes are always prorated.
- A waiver must be completed before stepping onto the field.
- Refund Policy: Refunds will ONLY be given if a class has been canceled. Refunds are not issued due to missed classes. If a child stops coming, a credit to the may be issued, pending approval.
- Participants should wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. Cleats are not permitted.
- Bring a water bottle labeled with your child’s name.
Parents and Guardians: Classes are not drop-off, a parent/guardian must be on-site during the class. For children under 4, parents may be permitted on the field or court with their child.
Behavior: Dangerous, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviors will be dealt with case-by-case and could result in the loss of the privilege to participate. No refunds or credits will be issued if your child cannot participate due to negative behaviors.
Transfers: Transfers within the same age group are permitted at any point in the session. All class transfers are dependent upon space availability.
Make-up Classes: Make-ups are done on a space-available basis. Make-ups do not carry over into the next session. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
