What began in 1999 as a bold community vision has grown into one of the region’s premier destinations for sports, recreation, wellness, tourism and community connection.

Founded by community leaders through the Mylan Park Foundation, originally established as the Mon County Schools Foundation, Mylan Park was created to transform reclaimed mine land into a place where the community could gather, compete, learn and thrive. With the support of visionary partners, donors and organizations, what started with four baseball and softball fields has evolved into a 400+ acre campus serving local residents, athletes, families, businesses and visitors from across the region and beyond.

Over the past 26 years, Mylan Park has grown through strategic investments in sports, wellness, tourism and community infrastructure. Today, the campus includes world-class aquatics and training facilities, tournament-quality sports venues, indoor courts and event spaces, family recreation amenities, hospitality offerings and mission-driven community partners, all working together to create a place where performance meets community.

From youth sports and fitness programs to national competitions, community events and regional tourism, Mylan Park continues to build on its founding vision while shaping the future of North Central West Virginia.
